I’ve been playing word games my whole life — in my head, not on a screen. Words have shape, taste, texture, volume, disposition! And etymology. Fascinating etymology, in many cases.
Despite my strong connection to letter groups, I’m awful at Scrabble and not at all a digital word-game player. If I was the latter, these would be the games I might play:
A daily quote to work out, one letter at a time. Gisnep is a play on how the font used to spell the word Disney, makes it look.

Ben Oliver told me about Minute Cryptic, a game that’s more of a teaching tool for those of us who would like to (finally) pierce the mystery of cryptic clues.
