I’m Ellane, and I’ve been a designer and educational publisher here in Australia since the late 1980s.
I write about keeping important things safe and simple while using the best tool for the job, and how paper can be part of an effective workflow. About Obsidian-flavoured plain text productivity and Apple technology, as well as non-techie ways to frame a good and happy life.

If you’re not sure what Mastodon is, read this. Don’t overthink it, just join a reputable instance (you can change it later) and jump in. This is kind of like a public email system—lots of different providers, and everyone can talk to everyone else. It’s a chronological feed with no algorithms, monopolies, or attention commodification. I have two Gumroad stores. One for general productivity resources (including the King James Version of the Bible in Markdown), and another for scripture study graphics and posters. I also run a store selling educational resources for primary/elementary school teachers.
You spell and say my name as it appears in the word miscellaneous. That’s where the lower case ĕ logo comes in. The smiley mouth diacritic above it is called a breve, and (when used in English) indicates that a vowel has a short, rather than a long sound. So the first letter of my name is e as in egg, not e as in eat.
I have a Ko-fi page, but I don’t drink coffee. I also don’t drink black/green tea or alcohol, eat chocolate, or sleep in a regular bed.
